So far I've had a couple of instances where I would throw a rock at a pot, it breaks, the guards notice it verbally but don't move to go check it out making it impossible to sneak by them. I actually had more success by just running by them and losing them that way haha. If you get caught, they reset and will react to the pots breaking again, but it is a glitch that happened a couple of times to me.
